How to Play
If you've played Wordle, you already know the rules. Pick a board variant and word length, then start guessing — you get length + 1, +2, or +4 attempts for 1, 2, or 4 boards. After each guess, every tile is colored to show how close you got: green means the letter is correct and in the right spot, yellow means the letter is in the word but in the wrong spot, and gray means the letter isn't in the word at all. Use the on-screen keyboard or your own to type each guess. Turn on hard mode for a single-board round when you want every revealed letter reused. Performance is tracked separately by mode, board count, and word length; Challenge rounds are excluded from official stats.

Practice Mode, Not Just One a Day
Unlike the familiar one-game-a-day format, Practice Mode lets you play as many rounds as you want, whenever you want, at 4, 5, or 6 letters. Your progress for each length and board variant is saved automatically, so you can switch modes or variants and pick up right where you left off.
A Word Guess for Every Length
Classic Wordle is always 5 letters. Here you can play the length that suits your mood:
- 4 letters - a quicker, easier warm-up round, with 5/6/8 attempts for 1/2/4 boards.
- 5 letters - the familiar five-letter format, with 6/7/9 attempts for 1/2/4 boards.
- 6 letters - a step up in difficulty with more letters to track, with 7/8/10 attempts for 1/2/4 boards.
Challenge a Friend
Finish a round and hit Challenge a Friend to generate a link. Anyone who opens it plays the exact same selected variant — including board count and ordered answers — so the shared result compares like with like without revealing answers in the link.

Is Guess the Word an unlimited word game?
Yep — Practice has no daily cap, so you can keep playing fresh 1-, 2-, or 4-board rounds. Daily mode has one canonical puzzle date, with independent 1-, 2-, and 4-board variants.
Can I play multiple boards at once like Dordle or Quordle?
Yes! Practice, Daily, and Challenges support 1, 2, or 4 independent boards. Two boards sit side by side; four use a compact 2×2 layout, including on mobile. Hard mode is single-board only.
Are there hints if I get stuck?
There are. If a puzzle has you stuck, Get Hint opens a short chooser where you select an eligible board position and reveal its letter. Reveals stay on that board and never change your shared guess or keyboard feedback.
Do I need to download an app to play?
No app, no account, no cost. It runs straight in the browser - desktop, tablet, or phone - and you can jump into a game the second the page loads.
What is the best starting word to use?
