How do you play Waffle?
Waffle scrambles a 5x5 lattice of six five-letter words -- three across, three down -- by swapping pairs of letters. Swap tiles back into place to restore all six words within your swap limit.
What do the tile colors mean in Waffle?
Green means the letter is already in its correct spot. Yellow means the letter belongs somewhere else in that tile's row or column. Gray means the letter is not needed anywhere in that row or column.
How many swaps do you get in Waffle?
Each puzzle allows a fixed number of swaps, shown as a star rating: fewer swaps used earns more stars, down to zero stars if you run out before solving it.
Can you swap any two tiles in Waffle, or only adjacent ones?
